True Oak Corrugate
Strikingly different from traditional shallow corrugated profiles, True Oak adds style and charm to any roofline. The distinctive shadow lines and deeper curves transform the performance and look of corrugated roofing.
Roofs made to last, and to work as hard as the walls.
A roof does more than shed weather. On a high-performance home it carries the insulation and the airtightness layer over the top of the house, it sets the roofline that gives the home its character, and it is where solar usually lives. We detail all three together from the start, so the roof is not just watertight but part of the warm, sealed envelope.
Most of our homes wear a long-run steel roof. We use ColorSteel pre-painted steel, much of it made here in Nelson by Freeman Roofing, and installed by local roofers we have worked with for years, including Tasman Roofing and Iconic Cladding.
Systems we specify

Select a roofing material from an extensive range to suit where you live, and to get the warranty and durability you require.

Whether your project is urban, rural or coastal, Archform offers a wide range of architectural roofing and cladding solutions employing copper, zinc, aluminium, pre-painted steel and bronze.
The roof is where a lot of heat is lost in an ordinary home, so we carry the insulation and the airtightness layer right through it with no gaps, and we detail every penetration (flues, vents, solar brackets) so the seal is not broken. Flashings, gutters and downpipes are sized for Nelson and Tasman rainfall and fixed to hold their looks in the strong local sun. Near the coast we specify fixings and finishes that stand up to salt.
Because most of our roofs are steel and many are standing seam, adding solar is straightforward and tidy. We think about roof pitch and orientation early, so if you add an array now or later it sits flush, faces the right way and does not compromise the weathertightness. See more on solar and energy.
On real homes
Long-run steel and architectural profiles from True Oak, Endura and Archform shed rain and salt air alike, on rural, coastal and hillside roofs across Nelson Tasman.
Good questions
Durable, weather-tight profiles built for coastal exposure: True Oak architectural corrugate, ColorSteel and Archform's metal standing-seam systems all handle the region's salt air and rain well when specified and installed correctly.
Yes. True Oak Corrugate is one of our standard profiles, with deeper curves and distinctive shadow lines that lift a roofline beyond the traditional shallow corrugate look.
Archform's standing-seam systems in copper, zinc, aluminium or bronze suit urban, rural and coastal architectural projects, and give a clean, linear roofline where the design calls for it.
Yes, on flat or low-pitch roof sections where a membrane suits the detail better than a profiled sheet, such as part of the roof at Horton Road in Tasman.
Yes, specified through Freeman Roofing with the right coating and profile for coastal exposure, it is a proven, well-warranted option for Nelson and Tasman conditions.
Neither is simply better. Standing seam gives a crisp, continuous line and takes solar without penetrations, so we use it where the architecture calls for it. Corrugate is proven, economical and long-lived, and suits many forms just as well. We match the profile to the design and the budget.
Yes, a great deal. On a high-performance home the insulation and airtightness layer carry over the roof, not just the walls, so a well-detailed roof is a big part of a warm, low-energy home.
Yes. Our steel and standing-seam roofs are made for it. We plan pitch and orientation early so an array sits flush and faces the sun, whether you fit it at build time or later.
A quality pre-painted steel roof is a long-life roof with very little maintenance, mostly keeping gutters clear and an occasional wash down, more often near the coast.
