Where we build

Home builders in Nelson.

Warm, healthy, low-energy homes across Nelson, designed and built as one process.

Building in Nelson

From the city to the hills, Nelson sites ask for homes that catch the sun and shrug off the weather. We design and build architectural homes across Nelson that are comfortable, healthy and economical, with one team accountable from first sketch to final key.

Why build with us here

We are a Nelson Tasman team, on your site in minutes rather than hours. Every home is built to perform: insulated, airtight and designed around the sun, so it is warm in winter and cheap to run. And open-book pricing means you see every dollar for the life of the build.

Nelson sites, worked through properly

A steep Nelson hill section and a flat Tasman rural block ask for different answers, and we treat them that way. Aspect, wind and outlook get worked through at design stage, so the finished home sits well on its site rather than fighting it, whether that is a tight in-town section or acreage on the city's edge.

Good questions

Building in Nelson, answered.

Do you build in Nelson city and the surrounding hills?

Yes, both. City sections, hillside sites and the rural edges of Nelson are all inside our normal build area, and hill sites in particular reward the kind of site-specific design we do.

How long does a build take?

As a rough guide, allow around 4 to 6 months for design and consent and 8 to 12 months on site, depending on the size and complexity of the home. We map out the timeline with you before anything is committed, and keep you updated at every stage.

Do you build Passive Homes in Nelson?

Yes. We build Passive Homes, built to the Passive House standard, along with high-performance homes that get most of the way there for a lower premium. We will talk you through both options honestly.
