Home builders in Motueka
Motueka's coastal light, sea breeze and estuary outlook reward a home designed to sit into its site, not one borrowed from somewhere inland. We design and build new homes here, from the first sketch to the day you get the keys.
Every home starts around one table and is delivered in the open, with every dollar visible as the build progresses.
Whether it is a new build, a renovation or a whole-house remodel in Motueka, we bring the same process.
The result is a warm, healthy home designed for its coastal climate, not a generic plan dropped onto the section.

Building in Motueka
Motueka runs from the sunny coastal township out to rural blocks, orchards and the estuary edge. It is one of the sunniest spots in the country, which rewards a home designed around light and shelter.
Building consent goes through Tasman District Council. The township is largely serviced, while rural and coastal sites usually rely on their own water and wastewater. Coastal exposure and sun are the big design factors, and we plan for them from the first sketch.
Built for the sun
Motueka enjoys some of the best sun in the country, but that same sun can overheat a poorly oriented home, and the salt air and estuary humidity test claddings and junctions over time.
We model shading, orientation and moisture management properly at design stage.
Every home is built to a standard well above the Building Code minimum.
The result stays warm and dry in winter, cool in summer, and cheap to run through Motueka's long sunny seasons.
Building here since 2006
The homes we build across Motueka are warm, dry and low to run, comfortable in winter and cool in summer, and designed to suit the sites and climate here. A warm, dry, well-ventilated home is a healthier home to live in too, better for your family's wellbeing year after year. And because we design around how you actually live, and the stages of life ahead, your home is built to keep fitting you as life changes. That is what nearly twenty years of building in one region gives you: homes that perform for the way people really live.
"I wanted a home I could wear shorts and a t-shirt in year round and never feel cold."
Colin Hayman, Upper Moutere
Many of our homes are completed under confidentiality, so this is only a selection. To see more, simply ask and we will arrange a private viewing or reference project.

Yes. Motueka, Riwaka and the surrounding valleys are all inside our normal build area, about half an hour from our Upper Moutere workshop, and we design specifically for the coastal light and estuary conditions here.
One team designs the home and builds it, so the design, the budget and the build method are resolved together from the start. You avoid the gap between an architect's drawings and a builder's price. See how our process works.
Yes. We build Passive Homes, and Motueka's sunny climate is well suited to them. We will help you decide whether a Passive Home or a high-performance build is the right fit for your budget.
